Also very monotone and we couldn’t hear him most of the time. He seemed knowledge I guess, but not about anything important or related to the trip really, lots of rambling. Jeff was also a terrible driver and at one point almost ran someone off the road. No room for bags (even really small), and no leg room what so ever. We were the first pickup and he was hounding us about if we were staying at our pickup location and was shaking his head at us and complained about picking people up…again definitely a company issue. The first 2 hours of our trip was spent just picking people up. They really need to condense their pickup locations. He acted like it was our fault he had multiple pickups, sounds more like a company issue. Our guide was Jeff, and right away he was rude and made us feel like an inconvenience. We woke advise anyone to just rent their own car and drive up themselves. Overall it was fine but wouldn’t recommend. Beautiful areas & would likely visit & stay in that northern Arizona area if had opportunity in the future. Each gift shop is different at the Grand Canyon so if you see something you want, get it then. Stop in Sedona was only at a park for pictures of Red Rocks not in the town itself drove through Oak Creek Canyon. Unfortunately it was raining at the Grand Canyon so could not even get into the bathroom or a table for even a drink or hot cocoa at the restaurant at the second stop we made there before heading back to Phoenix. Tour guide was Eric who was very knowledgeable and friendly, however, 30 minutes after picking up most of us he turned back to Phoenix to pickup two people he missed, so it seemed we had at least 50-60 minutes less for what other reviewers indicated they had opportunities to do on their tours to the same locations, ie actually stop to have lunch/drink vs our tour at a gas/potty break grabbing lunch to go at the McDonald’s, Subway or the gas station food and eating in the van. Overall was fine for the views, but I would not recommend this tour to anyone. We saw wild horses and he drove right past them, didn’t slow down for us to see the views. When we asked questions he spoke over us or told us to Google the answer, though he talked nonstop on the drive there. The guide, Roger, was nice but really acted more as a driver. We also learned that we wouldn’t see the Navajo reservation and it’s been closed since the beginning of COVID, though this wasn’t updated at all on the site. The tour states that we would go to the Navajo reservation and stop for a nice Mexican cuisine lunch, we found out once picked up that the lunch was a choice between McDonalds or Subway-if we had known earlier we likely would’ve brought a better meal. We took one stop on the way back so I’m not sure why the four were necessary on the way to the sites. We stopped 4 times for bathroom breaks, twice at a McDonalds and once just so our driver could get a sandwich even though we were just at a McDonald’s 30 min prior. We drove from 6:30am and didn’t get to the canyon until around 1pm, only stopping in Sedona for 20 minutes on the way. It is a 3.5 hour drive to the Grand Canyon from Phoenix, with stops in Sedona. If you get choice of guides, ask for Zane. Few days earlier, we went with the same company on a tour to Grand Canyon and our guide Zane was talking to us all the time. It felt like he was a driver rather than a tour guide. While driving he played radio in the bus instead of telling us about the surroundings. He even wanted to skip the nature walk in the desert, which is part of the tour, but we insisted on fulfilling this part of the tour and he complied. He did not explain much about each stop and the Apache Trail. We also were disappointed with our tour guide Han. Much more to do at that stop than at Tortilla flat. I wish the tour spend more time there so tourist can go on the Gold mine tour and train ride. Lost Dutchman State Park was very interesting, Goldfield Ghost Town felt like a mini town. However, Tortilla flat was disappointing, not much to see there, merely 3-4 buildings. Overall the tour was interesting, we always like to see and experience new things.
